Today I am grateful for complete exhaustion from previous arguments with my husband, which allowed me to relax and not fight him today. Great improvement. They say that Ozu used this method on his actors: exhausting them first, and then they delivered perfect performance.

Today I am grateful to my husband for adding improvements to the kitchen and displaying lots of gift wooden trinkets that had previously had no home.

Today I am grateful to my husband for getting these wind chimes, which give off quite a gentle and original sound, like a distant Gamelan orchestra. Unlike that disaster of a garden mechanical bird he got, which went off last night (prompted by the huge rain drops, I suppose) and started chirping incessantly.
