Today I am grateful for wheatgerm. I have just discovered it. I sprinkled it over my cereals in the morning and salad in the evening. It is nutty, crunchy, and apparently, good for you.

Today I am grateful to my husband’s friend and a hostess of a barbecue we went to for cooking especially for me a delicious tray of roasted vegetables (artichokes were particularly divine), and dill rice pilau, which she kept vegan. Perfect summer treat, perfect lady.
Today I am grateful to the authors of Veganomicon. I realised that I had not cooked the recipes I used to love for what might very well be years, so I pulled myself together and made quinoa pilaf and rice with lentils and caramelised onions today. Delicious.
Today I am grateful to organisers of an innovative fair of craftspeople and artists. My frame drumming tent was by two stalls that had open fire in them: one was a local food growing project, another – a forest school. So, surrounded by willow weavers, bakers and fabric weavers, I taught frame drumming.
Tomorrow I am going on holiday, and for four weeks I will be grateful every day for being on a holiday, for being out in nature, for being with my Mom, brother and friends, and for eating good food.
Today I am grateful to my Mom and to my brother’s apple orchard for the dried apples with which I made a drink today.
