Today I am grateful for this thin larch on top of the hill. I was looking at it lit by the already set sun, and I thought that whatever happened, the sunset light that I could see through the bare branches of the larch will still be there for me. I know it might sound lame, but at that moment it was the feeling of certainty, and groundness, and unconditioned happiness.

Today I am grateful for the fact that I am going home for holiday until 4 September. There every day I will be grateful for being with my family and friends, for good food, for walks in the city streets, in the parks and in the forest.

Today I am grateful for the fact that my Mom safely returned from her Grand Tour of seeing three of her friends and my brother – all in different parts of the country and abroad – and I had a chance to speak to her over the phone.
