Today I am grateful to the forest and to my friends who go there with me – to wander and drum.

Today I am grateful to Mother Earth for a magical walk through a forest in the hills. We’ve been having a ridiculously cold spring up here in the North West, so this is only my second walk this year I think – and it is great appreciated. Larches popped their tiny soft green needles, the rocks are covered with blue lichens, and sheep’s wool scraps hang on fences.

Today I am grateful to my friend and her daughter for taking me and my daughter to a lovely forest with a lovely stream. With a lovely tea house on the bank. A lovely English afternoon all in all.

Today I am grateful to a butterfly, which I think was the small tortoiseshell, who fluttered around me on my walk through a sunny spring forest.
