Today I am grateful for a lovely holiday with the sun, high soft clouds, shady leafy trees and slim fresh pine trees.
Today I am grateful to my daughter for an improvised meteorological demonstration. She was drawing weather events and explaining them to me at the same time.
Oh – and of course I am grateful to John Boynton Priestley for the 31st of June, which is today! Love and dreams come true to everyone!
Today I am grateful to my husband’s friend and a hostess of a barbecue we went to for cooking especially for me a delicious tray of roasted vegetables (artichokes were particularly divine), and dill rice pilau, which she kept vegan. Perfect summer treat, perfect lady.
Today I am grateful for a special copper-infused film I bought to repel the slugs off my precious Osaka Purple Salad leaves without killing the slugs.
Today I am grateful for complete exhaustion from previous arguments with my husband, which allowed me to relax and not fight him today. Great improvement. They say that Ozu used this method on his actors: exhausting them first, and then they delivered perfect performance.
Today I am grateful for a few seeds that actually sprouted about a week after I sowed them after a couple of years’ break in growing vegetables, due to moving to a new house.
