26 November 2013: lime splashes

26 Nov

Here we go again: work has consumed the innermost of my intellectual and emotional life. Amongst the days of toil of course there were moments for which I am grateful: a sudden splash of the lemon yellow of a lime tree, in the November sunshine – so precious in England. Drumming with friends. Laughing with friends. Friend inviting me to read my poems at their spoken word event and posting a photo of one of my watercolour painting on the event page – they did not have to, but they did. Help coming from seemingly nowhere: when I remembered the things I had to do at the last moment. A day out with a friend, in  art galleries, then sharing a Japanese lunch. Friendship
