While in reality the Earth goes in an orbit around the Sun, it seems from the Earth that the Sun moves over the ecliptic (red) on the celestial dome. When the Sun seems to pass through the vernal equinox (longitude 0°), the longitude of the Earth itself is 180° longitude. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Today I am grateful to science – it is som amazing, discovering and verifying the most amazing things! I was listening to the lecture of this Soviet scientist, Simon Shnoll, and he was telling about biological clocks that run in every living organism, and how they are aligned with the movements of earth, moon, and the sun through the galaxy, and how Vernal Equinox is the point in time that is sort of like a fold in a paper, from which the rhythms of the biological clocks run identical into the future and the past, so Spring Equinox is point zero for biological clocks.
