Apron with Makosh and Birth Givers, Metropolitan Museum

Today I am grateful to the Metropolitan Museum, New York. It is generally one of my favourite places on earth. But they’ve also got a wonderful website. And I typed “Goddess” in the search, and got so many beautiful images of sculptures, paintings and textiles honouring the Goddess, like this beautiful embroidery of the great Slavic Goddess Makosh flanked by two Birth Giver Goddesses at the bottom of this apron in a more stylised form, and on the top of the apron in more human form.
