Today I am grateful to my male friend (a volunteer at the Olympic Opening Ceremony and a feminist) for sending me a link to an article written by he great grand-daughter of Emmeline Pankhurst, and grand-daughter of Sylvia Pankhurst who marched as a suffragette at the Ceremony and who is going to take part in UK Feminista’s lobby of parliament on 24 October. Women’s rights have been attacked by the coalition’s government’s “austerity policies” and have to be defended.
