Today I am grateful to my husband, who, having returned from a business trip, gave our daughter a bath, which gave me a chance to practice my frame drum in peace!

I don’t have a kiddo, but do have two room mates in addition to living with my hubby. When the house is empty and I am left alone, I often go to my frame drum. I rarely tell them I have drummed. But it helps to make the house feel renewed, re-created somehow. And the only one who might understand where the shift comes from is the cat, but I don’t think she is going to tell anyone.

Yes, frame drum is something else. Do you do finger technique, or do you use a beater? I do finger technique, Layne Redmond’s style. Playing frame drum is coming back to myself for me. And at the same time, it is opening the whole world. Very, very cool indeed. Thank you for sharing!
