We’ve officially opened our Christmas (which we actually do not celebrate) season today by watching Love Actually. I actually skipped it last year, but old habits die hard, so it’s back again. (My Mom watches it bit by bit, like an Advent calendar).
Actually, the film has its flaws (among the biggest – the two big lies of that there can be any sunlight in London in December and that anyone who is not an Arab or a Russian billionaire can have the sort of apartments they show). Despite this, it still remains a classic. And it’s aged well. And so many things happened: to me, to my friends, to the actors in the film… People died, people were born, people got married, people starred in the second best adaptation of Sherlock Holmes stories… Life.
